黛絲和艾蜜莉拚命地想為單身老爸麥斯找個漂亮美眉牽紅線，有什麽方法會比在聖塔摩尼卡的看板上登廣告更有效率呢？然而，真愛可不是這麽容易就能找到的，所以說麥斯和他的新女友布魯克火花四濺的愛情路上，自然也免不了會有些小小的障礙...
首先是布魯克的兒子萊恩，他和雙胞胎初相見時發生了一些相處上的"歧見"；等到三人成為朋友後，便開始聯手對付第二個障礙--麥斯惟利是圖的經紀人奈吉。這三個古靈精怪的青少年會想出怎樣異想天開的妙計來撮合他們的父母呢？
